Scotty moved to Brattleboro from Florida days after graduating highschool 18 years ago. While working as a nurse Scotty worked with concrete as a hobby, building the only free and public skatepark in the area at that time, right in his backyard!

Since retiring from nursing Scotty has travelled the world working with some of the most talented and renowned concrete skatepark construction companies and builders in the world!

In Scottys free time he enjoys drawing maps, skateboarding, and building things out of concrete.

Artist, maker, and mud enthusiast—Rose thrives in all things hands-on. As a photographer and potter, they bring a creative, playful, sculptural eye to every project, whether it’s functional concrete, an art piece, or something in between. Born and raised in Marlboro, VT, Rose spends their time away from Tailblock training Muay Thai, on adventures in the woods with their dog, and working on their own artistic projects. 

Rose has been working alongside Scotty since the formation of Tailblock in 2021 and joined on as co-owner in 2025.

Aside from ensuring everything is being built to required specs, Foreman Datil’s primary role is alerting us that it’s time for lunch!
